Saxenda® (liraglutide) is a daily injectable treatment that helps with weight loss by reducing appetite and slowing digestion, making you feel fuller for longer and helping to control your eating.
Using Your Saxenda Pen:
- Inject once daily, at approximately the same time each day, with or without food.
- Inject subcutaneously into the stomach area, upper thigh, or upper arm.
- Rotate injection sites daily to avoid skin irritation.
- Do not inject into muscles or veins.
If you miss a dose and remember within 12 hours, take the missed dose. If more than 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and continue with your next scheduled injection.

Saxenda® requires a gradual increase in dosage to minimise side effects such as nausea:

- Once in use, pens can be stored at room temperature (up to 30°C) or in the refrigerator for up to 30 days.
- Do not freeze Saxenda pens. If frozen, they must not be used.
- Always protect pens from light and heat, and replace the pen cap after each use.
